Ecological Planning & Research
ecology in masterplanning
Our team routinely feeds ecological information into the masterplanning process, and have considerable experience working with Planning Design Teams.
Our approach is an enabling one, to not only overcome ecological constraints within the spatial layout of development, but also to identify and deliver ecology and biodiversity enhancements which can have significant beneficial effects on the overall design acceptability of the proposals.
We work on the philosophical basis of securing a better environment by integrated conservation and development design; we actively promote the achievement of conservation objectives through advancing economic development, and lay stress on the role of inspired and sustainable land management as a means of carrying forward planned objectives through the life of new settlements
Our experience in the design and implementation of Green Infrastructure, and SANG provision, together with the real benefits of Biodiversity & Health, can make a real difference to the layout and design of a residential development, helping our clients achieve more than just another housing scheme.
We have worked on many projects that take our ecology survey information and incorporate it effectively into the masterplan. You can see some examples of our past housing schemes here.
