EPR’s expertise in Thames Basin Heaths SPA grows
EPR has always been at the forefront of the Thames Basin Heaths SPA issue and the recent appointment of Ben Kite to the EPR team will strengthen our expertise further. Ben joins EPR with 2 years experience in a local planning consultancy, where he has gained considerable experience of dealing with residential development within 5km of the SPA, together with general planning and EIA experience.
We have now been involved in over 40 projects where we have given advice on the Thames Basin Heaths SPA, to Local Authorities and commercial clients alike, giving us the depth of understanding of the issues involved required to successfully negotiate with the various Local Authorities and Natural England, both in relation to specific cases and in relation to the evolution of the Natural England Delivery Plan itself.
Our expertise in this area, both at the project and strategic level, will become increasingly important in our work in other districts, which may face similar issues near other heathland SPAs.
