Burnham Beeches SAC and Littleworth Common SSSI
Client: Corporation of London & Plantlife International
This feasibility study was undertaken to inform the development of a landscape-scale habitat restoration project in and around the pasture woodlands of Burnham Beeches SAC and Littleworth Common SSSI, South Buckinghamshire. EPR undertook the research on the sites themselves and the techniques and economics of re-introducing grazing to restore the structure and species of the ancient commons.

Hainault Forest SSSI
Client: Woodland Trust
EPR undertook a feasibility study for restoring grazing to the relict pasture woodland of Hainault Forest. The study was aimed at determining whether and how grazing could be used to restore and maintain in a sustainable way, the unique and distinctive biological diversity of the ancient pasture woodland of Hainault Forest, which is now mostly Common Land.

Chichester Harbour SAC
Client: Chichester Harbour Conservancy
EPR has over many years undertaken an ongoing and rolling programme of detailed vegetation surveys to monitor the saltmarsh resource within Chichester Harbour (part of the Solent Maritime SAC). Our botanical expertise has provided invaluable information on the condition of the saltmarsh to ensure the Chichester Harbour Conservancy has accurate information on which to base decisions.
