We work with Local Authorities, on both short and long-term commissions, to fulfil their ecology Development Control function. We also assist with developing biodiversity-related planning policies and strategies.
We have extensive experience in Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA), assisting Local Authorities to fulfil their Appropriate Assessment obligations. We have used our expertise to assess draft Local Plans and complex projects against the requirements of the Regulations.
We provide bespoke training to Local Authority ecologists and planning officers on topics such as HRA, Biodiversity Net Gain, biodiversity offsetting, and using the Defra Biodiversity Metric.
