Maximising Biodiversity at Hampton Estate to Secure Countryside Stewardship Funding and Biodiversity Net Gain Market Entry – Case Study

EPR was engaged by the Hampton Estate for two key assignments:
Firstly, to create an outline Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) report for the wider 900ha+ estate, funded by a grant from the Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund (NEIRF). This was to ready the estate for the generation of Biodiversity Units (BUs) for sale to developers to fund habitat restoration work.

Secondly, to develop a management plan and 100-year vision for Puttenham Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) owned by the estate, to secure Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier (CSHT) funding for ecological restoration.
